| @[thescientist204:42120] Yes this is how I interpret it to! For me, I had an abusive friendship that lasted 18 years. Despite the fact that he hurt me, that I'm still dealing with that trauma, that friendship lasted most of my life, and most of my memories include him. I can't help but miss him sometimes. I adore the conflict in this song between bitterness and regret and mourning. It captures my feelings perfectly. I hope you come to a place in your friendship that you're happy in, that kind of situation is difficult but remember that you have no responsiblity to put him above your mental health. If you feel the relationship is only stressing you out, there's no shame in stepping back, even if only for a bit. | |
