To me it seems to be about a breakup. But he is not bitter; he just misses everything that went along with living with the partner. Some of it is material, but more important things were about the connection (talk/sex/trust.) Not really darkness, more reality. Nothing about court and what the court deems. I think this album has a more mature reflection on adult life and things that happen and what good people go through, less so than the darker aspects in also brilliant albums from many years prior. |

@[MaxNomad:42096] Yes Max, I believe you have the analysis correct. I think it’s about the loss of a younger company after 9/11 and the tech meltdown. Enron was too big to “dissolve the corporation in a pool of margaritas“. Hit home with me, I had to do it with my young tech company. ???? Great song off the title-track album. |
