1 - AFI is awesome album to album. What people don't like is something that isn't the same as the last album. Called progression. If you listen to any kind of music you know there's progression and change. I use them synonomously.
2 - AFI on the radio? So what? Is that not punk? Who cares get a life. Don't listen if you wanna keep listening to bands knowone has ever heard of.
3 - It's cool if people interpret songs differently cause everyone lives different lives. So while it's cool to agree with a literal meaning someone posts on here why not try and let the song do something for you. |

Another Rise Against song that sounds like it's about a relationship gone wrong. Sounds like a relationship where one person isn't really trying to make it work and the relationship is about to snap. It's expected but it's really not. " I don't know how much of me you expect standing here right now " This line seems to mean that one person thinks that just a presence will resolve issues. Can't really get the bottom line though... Maybe I said it... ??????? |

Literally there is lots of reference to protests... War? Maybe. I don't know. March of The Crabs is a time of year on Christmas Island where 130 million land crabs march down a hill to lay eggs in the water and then march back up the hill till sexual maturity leaving nothing behind and letting nothing stand in the way. Closer to the end " Graves and memorial walls hold my family name. Pills and bottles do the same." I think that this is a definate anti-war stance. " The fight never happened. The crowd petered out. We all dribbled home. Mission accomplished." A successful protest probably encouraging more to get off their fucking asses and not let the governement paint blood on societies hands. Propagandhi's position not mine. Am I wrong? |

These guys never cesae to amaze me. I mean I've been on here for over an hour listening and reading lyrics. SO GOOD! Knew they were brilliant writers but my favorite line " And you don't need protection She shouldn't need protection! " Song didn't really relate to me until I heard that line and thought of my ex-g/f who said she had been raped.

Another awesome song with only 3 posts. Amazing. But I think this song is about the way that bands, and not only bands but, the way that they try to instill thoughts into peoples minds. " Who did you enlighten today? Humiliate to sell your point of view Create an image for mass consumption... Your chance at godliness has already failed " I also think it sorta suggests that people use social intellect to place themselves higher on the social pedestal, when in fact " Why don't you shut the fuck up " Someone else put some thoughts up. Awesome song.

I can't beleive of all the songs by BSF that I'm the second one to put something down for this song. I mean it's such a rad song and it's got all the emo of the other songs that have 15 hits. Crazy. Oh well hidden gem I guess. So I guess I can put down what I think. Hmmm... I like listening to what everyone else puts and making my own conclusions. Not that I look to others to etch beliefs in my head, but you can find pieces of each persons interpretation and find truth in it. |

First, after reading punkinsd's meaning from the book... WOW! What an amazing song. There are so many ways you can interpret a song but.. The lyrics are great. If you listen, I mean it's blatent, but with 55 secs. left he says " Daddy catch me " That sorta ripped at me because you know that ultimately the child still places the burden on his father to take care of, and look over him. That song is amazing though! |

I dont know what the hell the songs about, but everyone can pick lines out of the song that sorta sum up a situation in their life, and if it brings someone a little comfort I mean that's obviously Great! I mean usually songs are about a single situation but I don't think you have to be able to relate every line in the song to the "plot" if you will... So listen to it, love it, take something away from it and it'll make everyone a little bit better inside.
