Does everyone really like this song? I'm a big Weezer fan but this song doesn't impress me. I thought every album including the Green One (actually I think the Green one is awesome) are very very good. This song i'm struggling with. That is so sweet that he keeps his songs on a spreadsheet. That's when you know its real emo! |

I don't know what to say about the lyrics either...lol at least not right now.. I just wanted to make the interesting point that this sort of freestyle hardrap/screaming is rare or nonexistant on White Pony.. isn't that weird? I'm praying to God that they do stuff like this on their new one coming out. White Pony is still good, don't get me wrong... but its not as heavy as the other two albums, I think b/c of this point.. Even "Elite" though its a heavy song, can't compete with "Engine #9" or "Root" or songs on Around the Fur b/c of the lack of hardcore freestyle.. which is very apparent in this song.. Deftones rule though, my God they are awesome... i'm out |

I love this song.. I listen to it like a million times and never knew one word until now..lol This new CD is SO FREAK'N HEAVY!! Finally a band that knew how to get MORE INTENSE on a new release. Very nice.
Even tho I never knew the words till now, they are impressing me greatly. I keep wondering how Christian their lyrics are on this new CD. I sense deception in this song. People look so good on the outside sometimes, and yet their is nothing but filth within. Sometimes, I do'nt feel so different from that. |

Sommy, you are way off on a lot of stuff. You've obviously never read the Koran and the fact that you believe what you learned in Catholic school is kinda scary. But its alright dude, your entitled to your opinions. Is it ironic that you wanted to stick to songmeanings, but didn't write a single thing about "5 Year Winter"?
I think others will agree that its fun to talk and debate about religion. I LOVE it. I really do. If I offend anyone w/my comments i'm truly sorry, that's not my intention. I can only say what I think is true, but no one really knows half the time, including me. Alright, peace out. |

I love the line "God is moving its tongue", but I think he means that God is the one tormenting everyone w/the heat. And b/c God is so powerful, just a move of his tongue can cause torment throughout the world. In other words, God's not using much effort, yet Chino is experiencing the harsh consequences. Its kinda like God could just move his tongue and it could be earthquakes across the earth, he could move his finger, and devastate the masses.. something like that. I like that fact that he uses "its" too. It demonstrates a certain unknown about God. We don't know what God is really like contrary to existing religions. |

Maybe you guys are right who knows... I think its about a boyfriend and girlfriend who are just having a hard time getting along. He talks about making it up to her or her calling him up.. sounds like their together and everything, but its just tough.. I remember when I first got the green album I was having some arguments with my girlfriend and this was perfect for me to sing.. It was like he knew exactly what I was thinking. So now we have 4 interpretations.. Why stop there!?! |

I'm a Christian, but Royal77 has a good point. The Bible itself says that those who don't believe will rot in hell for eternity. I don't know anyone who would want to rot in hell, so most people choose not to believe that its true. How can we be so sure we're right anyway? It seems foolish to not even consider for a second that the Bible might be flawed. I don't believe it b/c its been proven true cause it never has been, I believe by faith and faith alone, and live it cause I want to and think its good, but Royal77 and others are my brothers man enjoying Zao just like me and all of us on this site. Everyone is free to believe whatever they want.
I mean, Muslims are supposed to kill nonbelievers... its the same thing, thinking they are right and everyone else is wrong. And they go to extremes. Its almost prideful to think we're right and everyone else is deceived. And it always causes problems, even to the point of death. There is just something not right about that.
Anyway, Zao is sweet!! We are going to cover this song in a new hardcore band we're putting together here in Cleveland. I have never heard a voice like his... wow. It doesn't get any better than this!
