Yep... it's about these damn junior high relationships. "But why did it end in misery?" - means why would you be so sad about the breakup if you didn't even love the person in the first place. "Taking our chances, getting our thrills"- we get our thrills from taking our chances with someone new every few weeks. "Loved defined on our TV"- self explanitory. "Are we in love, or just so alone, that we're looking for anyone to hold"- we feel that we need to love someone to be happy and not feel so alone, and we feel so alone that we'll look for anyone to hold.
Now, when I say we, I don't mean me and everyone else, just the people who feel this way.. everyone in junior high. |

such a beautiful song... my music teacher played this for the class today in school and I started tearing up. It just really reminded me of my dad and how our relationship will never be the same since my parents divorced when I was 7. Yes, he did write this for his daughter after she asked him if she'll ever get to see him again.... can you believe that? A girl just 4 years of age asking something like that. That would have put my heart in so many knots. He also wrote "The River Of Dreams" for her after she asked him what happens when we die. I don't care how tuff you are, whether you're a football player, wrestler, or whatever, you have to admit that this song touches you in someway. Hell, I listen to KoRn (hence my name), NIN, Disturbed etc... and I still love this song. I was thinking a bit while I was listening to it, and I decided I want this to be my wedding song for me and my father to dance to when I get married. |

Same with me ostegodead...I really did think they were trying to be Slipknot. It's true they could never be Slipknot, it's still not the best song on the album. |
