I have been curious to hear some of Avril's music besides Complicated, because I have been hearing an awful lot about her lately. I might download some mor eof her songs, but for the moment I thought I would read some of her lyrics.
This song starts out ok, and I like the whole 'don't judge people by what they are wearing' attitude, I agree whole heartedly with that, but I don't like how she is so smug at the end that she ended up with him. It seems a tad hypocritical to me. eh, don't ask me to explain, I'll come back here when I'm awake and say this properly. And the fact that she's expecting the ballerina girl to be so much more jealous now that he's on MTV irks me. |

Yaaaay I love this song. Makes me laugh.
I always just thought it was about Maynard paying out stupid kids who make a big deal about bands selling out. The ones that profess their love for a band to anyone that will listen, say that their music is their life and such, and then when they become even remotely popular, they say that the band sold out. And they hate the band now for selling out. People like that are stupid. |
