| I like this song too. I'm not at all sure what it really means. But I think it might be about the immigrant experience - in any foreign land. I thought that was what was meant by the reprise "they took your photograph ....and you come into existence... " But Gaius could also be right that it's simply about growing up and becoming independent. | |
