"Revved up like a Deuce" is obviously a Deuce Coupe but coupe was too many syllables and was dropped. It was metaphoric anyway.\nMany of the indirect references to people were obviously references to people when Manfred was growing up, who is unimportant to the song, again metaphorical.\nJust enjoy the tune and the wordplay. |
