Quite possibly the best song Rzeznik has written. In the league of "Name" and "Iris". I think John is writing about the dizzying feeling of being lost inside himself, trying to find his place and purpose, and then being unable to really relate and connect with anyone around him as well. In one interview he was quoted as saying: "I always felt like I was standing on the outside of everything looking in, and really wanting to belong and never feeling like I did." |
