1. It's not that it's about a crazy person (it's a driven person). 2. It's not about the lack of gun control, which is a simple concept that will never work, but hardly the why. 3. The WHY - It's our own fault - We will not admit it. We set it up by our greed and judgement and loss of "good values.". The kid is lashing out in desperation. Valentine has something to say, and no one will listen. |

@[RonnieDean:47400] I realize you wrote years ago, but your take seems to fit mine. The topic no one wants to address is why these shooters are, with some kind of logic, lashing out against greater society. (Chris McCandless aka Alex Supertramp just went off into the wild of Alaska, but he may have faced similar torment in life.) The why is because of our own fault, people shut out people, many times unfairly. If corporations/society/people could put a check on greed and "good values" became important again, possibly young shooters would believe in future success and, when at their personal limit of tolerance, not resort to anger. Valentine has something to say, but no one will listen. |

You Shook Me is about the best woman. The one that whistles is ok. The one that sings goes to heart. But the one that shook me deserves commitment, and yes, a diamond ring. Read those last two lines (of six): "I have a baby, won\'t do nothing oh! Oh, oh, buy a diamond ring." This third bird must be the absolute best one, because she is the true one "he" wants. He sees her, really wants her - my my - but she will not give until he commits. (...this is way back in time 20s, 30s 40s when before girls just gave it away, boys). To get some trim means you must entail commitment. Remember what Ward Clever said to June about escorting a glamour girl, "it is a disconcerting combination of pleasure and pain." |
