R.E.M. – Carnival Of Sorts (Boxcars) Lyrics 3 years ago
I often would hear “ Boxcars are turning… out of town.” and think about Nagasaki and the B-29 “Bock’sCar” that dropped the Fat Man bomb.\n\nHey, it was the 80s and plenty of those cold war apocalyptic songs were being tossed about.

The Pogues – Tuesday Morning Lyrics 3 years ago
@[marykaplan:41159] beautiful interpretation. One I take to heart now every time I listen to it. The song is one of those Kim Weston or if one prefers, Doobie Bros “Take Me In Your Arms” kind of anthems for one who will be there until the very end.

R.E.M. – Sitting Still Lyrics 3 years ago
This song fits perfectly with the COVID-19 narrative. So many li(n)es!\n“Sitting Still” -what 75% of us were forced to do in the lockdowns.\n“C could stop, stop it well read”- it won’t stop until the ‘science’ aligns with the ‘well Red’ sciencey writers.\n“We could bind it in the scythe.” - numbers of covid deaths were cooked, or combined with people already sickly or dying to show higher rates of “death from Covid.”\n"I’m the sun and you can read” - sun, i.e. CORONA virus.\n“You could get….get away from me “ social distancing NOW.
