| This song is about wanting out of a relationship with someone and not having the guts to end it. \n\n“But you pulled a little tight just now And I\'m afraid I feel a choke hold coming on” is talking about how boundaries are being broke, and the narrator is starting to feel trapped, or in a “choke hold” \nThey didn’t think the relationship was going to get as serious as it did “ All I ever thought we might come to was second dates And flirting eyebrows” and i believe the rest speaks for itself.
