Pfr – Life Goes On Lyrics 25 days ago
My thoughts are that about a person is trying to talk a friend or “significant other” out of leaving behind a friendship/relationship without really trying to reconcile or, at worst, taking their own life.
“ The wounds will heal starting over ain't no big deal
They rebuild Rome and life goes on.
But it don't mean a thing
Without You and the love You bring
It won't mean a thing without You”

Supertramp – Lord Is It Mine Lyrics 3 years ago
This person [The writer or someone else] is weary of all the turmoil, killing, hatred, selfishness, greed, injustice, etc. He/She is looking for solace to reflect, struggling to not just hide from it all; not wanting to deal with it at all. \nHowever, they are crying out to a God they hope will hear & asking whether they even have a right to “stick [their] head in the sand” while there are “a thousand voices trying to get through?” \n\nThey struggle with their sensing the “sweetness” and Love Light of a divine power around themself yet not being sure whether this higher power is willing, or even powerful enough, to assist.\n\nI choose to interpet that this person believes they could be an agent of change to help at least one of those cries for help. In other words, they are questioning whether they may be a God’s kind answer for at least one person’s desperate prayer. And therefore, in spite of the fact they often feel like it’s so useless to keep fighting for justice & kindness in a world they see gone so wrong, they cannot just ignore the cries for social justice (or whatever change is needed). \n\nWhen you consider some of the other lyrics Roger has written, it kinda makes sense. Believing in the philosophy that Love & Unity are answers to the division & strife. . Isn’t that why “Give A Little Bit” has been such an enduring song & concert favorite for years?\n\nAnyways, that’s my two cents worth (which is pretty worthless by today’s standards).
