Musically and lyrically poetry of the human condition. \nWe want to understand and get lost in it, counting the stars... \nto me this is pure existentialism.. can we make sense, can we grasp eternity. \nBut somehow it is paralysing to be so overwhelmed by no control of knowing the endlessness of the universe. Nothing as sad as a man on his back... fools errand...But I want to believe there is an answer, an number of stars, a formula, a way to make sense of it all. |

I wouldn\'t attach to much specific religion to it.\nTo me its the cue in the end: "you must have more important things to do,\nif you need a murderer.. "\nit is about how a reflected person knows the imperfections in their attempt to do right to their believe system and our sense of making sense in this life to ourselves but in the end we are all victims of defending our sense and reasoning and the song asks (to me) how far will you go for your need to feel righteous according to "YOUR/MY" believe system. It is questioning morale, as it is always individual, as in the end he will succumb to the dirty work without admitting it fully but "must have more important things to do...." "so if you need.... " sounds to me quit eager...We all want to make sense, at least to our "lord" believe system whoever/whatever that is.\nI believe we all have done this in one form or another, even though we internally know we are or might be wrong. |
