@[KentKent:45060] The sun isn't jealous, the sky is...which is kind of strange...who is the sky jealous of? Them? or the sun? There are problems with these lyrics.

@[jgilsoul:45022] I'm not crazy about the song, to be honest. I don't think it's one of his best. I think Tecumseh Valley is his best song. If he hadn't written that, or None But The Rain, or Pancho and Lefty, we wouldn't have the patience to even listen to this song, which doesn't really have much to it. |

@[IslandMyk:44505] You are projecting that on to poor Leroy. She probably said, "Hey Leroy! Guess who sent us a letter? Michelle!" And Leroy replied, "Oh, cool. Tell her that I said hello!" |

@[glenman:44503] it's just a good rhyme for "Anchorage", and a great image to describe a relationship that might have had a little argument or something when they broke up. Good songwriters like words or phrases that excite you and leave you open to speculation. Michelle doesn't know what it means any more than us! |

@[ringfingers:44502] your making that up. There's no hint of it in the song. It's not bad to be anchored, you know, especially when you have kids. She and Leroy seem to be doing fine. She did say, "i'll cross that burning bridge." Probably because it sounded cool and she neede a rhyme for "Anchorage" |
