I got two things out of this.. 1. He is talking about the life of possibly "a demon" because demons are paralyzed by the Blood of Christ. 2. He got drunk (paralyzed) by some sort of wine like fleaaaaa says in the above post. GREAT song...love it. |

| Definate play on Frank Sinatra's "old Blue eyes". A sad story about the neighborhood drunkard who could have had a life like everyone else but had an untimely end: lonley with his bottle of whiskey. | |
| Morrissey – Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| In my opinion, this song has a great deal to do with the hypocrisy of the music industry. "the glass hidden in the grass" tends to lean toward the pain of trying to "make it" in the music industry. With lines that talk about "syphon your dough" may very well be talking about how much $$ a record lable takes from the artist and how they tend to keep artists as novelties by kneeling and praying that the artist's contract,"long may it last", keep him bound to distress. | |
