AURORA – Gentle Earthquakes Lyrics 3 years ago
I read on another site that this song was originally her speaking about orgasm and sex. \nthe strange noise that is repeated a couple of times right at the start is how she believes the musical sound of an orgasm was best represented, for her at that time (apparently but my sources are quite sketchy.\nAnyway, apparently she later said she’d changed her personal view of what the song was about, to something completely different. \nAnd then again, she has also stated that the songs mean different things to different people and none are incorrect.\n\nI love the line ‘watching lightning strike in my lovers eyes’ - such a terrific description!

Simon and Garfunkel – Punky's Dilemma Lyrics 3 years ago
I was drawn to this song from quite a young age, and a few years ago I got a Hoody custom-made. It had the lyrics ‘a citizen for boysenberry jam fan’ on the front with a picture of jam and on the back at the bottom had ‘wish I was an English muffin, bout to make the most out of a toaster’. I always had this romantic notion that somebody, someday would recognise the lyrics with delight and we’d be instant friends. Anyway, never happened but I’m going to get another hoodie the same. There’s just something so childishly charming about this song for me, and the whistling reminds me of my Dad who passed when I was 13 ????
