This song perfectly describes my wife and my relationship. We had a beautiful nine years together, rarely argued, always had fun, great times and memories. But, there were things I couldn\'t do for her that she wanted/needed in life and relationship. If battled depression and trauma for years, and it locked me out of being able to love her like I should. She found someone else and while I do madly love her more than she will ever know, this was what I did. I let get go to be with that person. One day, I will be whole, and not.. fucked up. I don\'t want her to waste her life with me. \n\nThis song describes this to a T; he loves her she loves him, but there is ways that he is/is not that she needs or doesn\'t need. He let\'s her go before it turns into hate and animosity. She helped him start the path of healing and fixing his life. \n\nMy wife is my best friend, and I see her everyday, and some days I just want to hold her, kiss her, qnd tell her she is my everything (something I haven\'t said in a couple years, until it was too late) but I stop snd I let her go. This song... this song says everything I cannot. |

I feel this song is about two people sre are just trying to be friends with Benefits. But, eventually, emotions kick in and they start to feel feelings for each other. \n\n"We were drawing lines not to cross, so we would never feel a thing"\n\nBut somewhere along the line, they fell for each other, and I think it is also goodbye sex. Case in point, my wife fell out of love with me and in love with someone else. We are best friends, roommates, but she\'s moved on in her heart. That night we had goodbye sex, and while sex was always... the kimd that made me believe in a God, it was the most intense, passionate, heart filling sex I ever had. That was the best (yet worst) night of my life.\n\nI could be off completely, but it just feels like this song is an FWB relationship that went a little overboard. |

@[ThatsMeGC:40161] going through that exact thing right now with my wife (eventually ex wife). In her words, I\'ve been the best person she could ever ask for. Love, care, support, friendship, no one ever gave her what I did. But, there were things I could NEVER do for her. And she fell out of love. She loves me, but not on love. She found a guy that gives her the things I could not. \r\n\r\nThis song perfectly describes our relationship and our ending. I wish I could go back and be that guy, because she\'s been my everything. But, I will let her have the life she wants. She gave me true love that no one ever did.
