| I support the other folks in here who are going with the suicide theory because honestly the lyrics line up, plus they make more sense in that direction. Let me also remind yall of two very important things: First, the song lyrics were written by Clint Lowry and John Connolly, NOT LaJon even though he sings the song for the band...Second and more importantly, around the time this album (Animosity...my favorite Sevendust record), they lost a very good friend from the band "Snot" named Lynn Strait for whom they wrote the song "Angel\'s Son" which is also on the album Animosity. My guess is someone very close to both bands committed suicide in dealing with the pain Lynn\'s death brought all of them, and whoever it is was quite obviously close to the band. | |
