Nirvana – Heart-Shaped Box Lyrics 4 years ago
My interpretation of this song is as follows:

This song is about Cobain’s marriage to Love more than probably any other song he wrote. “She eyes me like a Pisces, when I am weak.” Kurt was a Pisces. Love is a Cancer, hence “I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black.” Love for Cobain a heart shaped box full of mementos very early in their relationship. This song is also about Cobain’s escalating heroin abuse. “I’ve been drawn into your magnet tar pit trap”, the heroin most prevalent in Washington state in the early 90’s was black tar, so it’s the stuff that Cobain would’ve used the most. “Broken Hyman of your highness, I’ve left back. Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back.” I believe to be another reference to Cobain’s very strained marriage to Love. I think they broken Hyman line could be a nod at infidelity on Love’s part, and the umbilical noose line I believe is referring to the fact that Cobain might have felt trapped in the marriage and therefore hopeless because of his child with Love.

Nirvana – Aneurysm Lyrics 4 years ago
@[Lusus_Naturae:39521] actually Kurt first tried Heroin in 1987, but either way you’re correct, Courtney didn’t get him hooked. She’s still a soul stealing succubus that is notorious for fucking every rockstar she meets. Of course the poor bastard killed himself. Who the fuck can live with that? Aneurysm was written when Kurt and Tobi were still talking, the line “I Love you So Much it Makes me Sick” is in reference to her as well as “She keeps it pumping straight to my heart” the song Lounge Act and a lot of the material off of Nevermind is about Tobi. If you guys are looking for songs about Courtney, see In Utero. If you’re looking for more Kurt songs, listen to any song on Hole’s “Live Through This”.
