This is a cover of the song by Paul McCrane from the Fame original sound track, 1980 (source: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080716/soundtrack/?ref_=tt_trv_snd). Sondre Lerche claims the version attributed to him is a "bootleg recording of someone who resembles my voice". But since this "someone" sounds unmistakenly like Sondre Lerche himself, I reckon his denial is because of either legal reasons or his personal disapproval about the recording. All this aside, it is a beautiful song and this performance surpasses the many other covers of this song. |
