Aspartame is GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) in 93 countries around the world, including the US and Great Britain. It has been determined to be safe by U.S. Food and Drug Administration, United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, World Health Organization, American Heart Association, and the American Dietetic Association.
