I think the song is about the realization that he\'s about to get dumped, but there might be some upsides to losing the relationship. It\'s a terrific song, the music seems to follow his thoughts. |

I think that the guy loved her intensely. They had a passionate relationship that he thought would last forever, but she wanted to end it. In his rage and pain, the biggest thing he could do to "punish" her is to tell her that she never meant anything to him, he never "came."
And that phrase can involve all of it. He was never that into her, he was only going through the motions, she never mattered.
The title of the song is a lie, but that's what makes it amazing. |
