I'm not sure about the "Traces of Death" movie, but I read an interview where Patrick discussed a kid who had badly botched a suicide attempt and seriously messed up his face, and regretted that he hadn't done the deed correctly. I believe the kid was James Vance, who sued Judas Priest for 'subliminal messages' after his failed suicide attempt in 1985. Vance eventually died in 1988 and I seem to recall suspicion that it was a 2nd suicide attempt. The case was dismissed in 1990 but cost Judas Priest over $250,000 in legal fees. |
