This is a song I go back to often. It speaks to you in as much as it forces you to speak to yourself. It's a song that you should sing in front of a mirror. You are asking yourself all of these questions. What kind of person will I be? Will I be famous/infamous or a goody-two-shoes nobody? Will I be a stand-up citizen or low life? And back to one of the first questions, what will each decision cost? And in the end, the song points an accusing finger back at the singer/listener as the one to blame for the paths we ultimately choose. It has no sympathy for the environment, parents, "the devil made me" or anything. It leaves everything on... YOU |
