| I woke up with this song playing in my head and I haven't seen this movie in years. Emily goes through the self doubt, the comparison that we go through as women daily, the issues we have with how we seem... maybe also just wanting for that one special person to see you in your beauty. What that person may not see, other will see and think to themselves "How can they miss how beautiful of a person you are? How lovely you are? Caring? Funny?". So they say, "If he only knew, the you, that we knew." is so beautiful. Even if you don't feel like people notice your beauty, someone will and they see you in such awe. I'm a Christian now, but this movie used to be one of my favorites. It has such a deep thought provoking message. (In reality, the spider and the worm weren't trying to put down the other girl (even though it seems like it) it was a false sense of flattery in a way.) I do believe when we die we go to heaven.. and in the end Emily seemed to "meet her fate" where she looked up and turned into a bunch of butterflies. Leaving to finally be at Peace. - Ruby | |
