This song is about a girl with self love issues. Her partner is telling her how much he loves her and the parts she doesn't like about herself "from all of my pretty and all of my ugly too." She doesn't understand what her partner is seeing in her but she likes that he loves her the way she is and she is not happy with the way she thinks about herself but she still can't help hating some of her parts she doesn't like, she wants to see her the same as her partner does "I wanna love, I'd love to see me from your point of view". I also think this song is about Dalton Gomez ( most of the song on the positions album). |

shit this song is amazing. It's maybe about a relationship between a boy and a girl where the boy is being super kind so the girl feels like a dangerous woman when she's with him because he puts her in a position maybe godifys her ( which could also hang together with god is a woman. |

I think it's quite obvious what this song is about but I just wanted to say that I love Olivia Rodrigo for this. A lot of teenage girls or teenagers in general ( boys can be insecure as well !) go through this phase where they are comparing themselves to people on social media and it's relieving to know that there are other people who go through the same stuff and relating to lyrics. I'm in 9th grade and I can't relate to any of her sad love songs but this song is my jam ( and brutal of course). But furthermore I think it's not only about comparing yourself to other people, I think it could also be something where Olivia wrote on her own experiences, posting pictures with a bikini, with her friends etc. on instagram and showing other people a side of yourself where you know that this isn't you and your jealous of this version because you want to be it in real life too but you can't. Maybe she was going through this kind of stuff I don't know. |
