Regardless of the origin story of the song, I heard Steve say that the song meanings are personal to every listener. Soon is a prayer of sorts for me, that I will survive and transcend my times of grief and sadness. I don't usually make it through with out breaking down, but I continue to listen whether its at a show, or a recording or singing them to my wife, or just remembering in my head. Peace to all.
