Its about self destruction via drug use among him and his friends.. "Will not protect the spirit with more lies.." Refers to the denial inherent in addiction. "Lets risk it, here we go.. its in my blood" is pretty hard to take out of context, especially proceeding the song "High" on that album. The whole album (Pushing the Salmonella Envelope) is truly great, and was, imo, the height of their career. |
