This to me sounds like a song of morality and choices, a person who's grown up finding themselves in a situation being tempted by a devilish spirit, who's metaphorically nailed this person to a wheel. A lot of references to making choices: The moment the evil appeared... the chance to decide Rising powers, tempting gold, but at what price would it be sold? It's all up to you... It's almost like a test for this said person. |

I used to think this song was more about rising up against institutions like government-based officials and their insane policies or something of a similar nature. But the more I listen to it, the more I believe it's more about rising against people who seem to spread misinformation. Breaking from the normal path of information from digital (or other) media and learning your own way. "If there's anyone else out there aiming sawn-off philosophy, lets all united to make things right under an overwhelming minority" sawn-off shotguns are known for their wide range and inaccuracy against their targets. |

Although I'mn not 100% certain. I belive this song touches on the themes of self moratility and how they act. This Pharaoh afraid of what he's becoming seeks advice refusing to accept the person he's become. More so because of the lines here: Afraid of the eyes that shine in the darkness You don't realize, afraid in the haze You point at the man that grins in your nightmare And don't realize the mirror you gaze into You don't wanna see the spirits behind sceneries Obviously looking for answers sees a being in his dreams that happens to be himself. He just refuses to accept it. |
