They used this song in the Trailer Park Boys movie. Most of the main characters in that movie (and the series), you could call them 'Monsters' in certain situations. Also Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson stated that you should become a 'monster' in some sense (and also be aware of it) to be able to deal with certain people and catastrophes of life. This might be the very same thing as integrating your shadow (according to Carl Jung). |

I think the song at first is about someone who has seen better days and is reminiscing. Maybe he once had a lover who is now gone and now he feels lonely. At the moment his life is Hell. 'Tears for remembrance....and for this lonely boy' But now he is also trying to regain the spirit he had when his life was better and he searches for ways to improve himself and/or his life. 'Scan the horizon....I shall return from out of the fire' He says to himself: 'Remember tomorrow', cause then (in the future) my life will be better than it is right now. |
