| I thought the same thing for long time, about war soldiers, but realized this song could be heard as "(you will) find the cost of freedom (when you are) buried in the ground". It is the only idea that makes sense of the second part " Mother Earth will swallow you, lay your body down". No man is truly free until he is dead. | |
