@[katryna669:50123] I like your take on this song. The only thing I would like to add is at the end when he looks down on the world. In my opinion it has a double meaning laughing to himself because as sad as it may seem at the moment, he is familiar with where he is. If he can't make it here and went away , who is to say he would be any happier or better off where he may wind up since it is generally uncharted territory. Maybe he is laughing at himself while thinking perhaps he should try again here, where he is familiar before he tries to take on the unknown. My theory is it's unknown for a reason. |

About a guy who doesn't know who he is as a person. Someone who conforms to what the other wishes without their own opinions and thoughts. Apparently this has happened before throughout his life but always had someone to fall back on or tell him what to do. This time he needs to learn it on his own. It seems he almost does when he says he has to be a bigger man a better man than that and if it was up to him (they would be together again living blissfully) and never states his desire but reverts to once again leaving it up to her and in doing so, since he still hasnt learned to stand up for what he wants, respecting her wishes and demands rather than taking a stand.....he now walks alone. |

It's a song of a once happily married couple. Caring and trusting with the blessings of a child as well. But as time goes on we grow, some together, some apart and some grow curious again.
He let's in to his curiosities and cheats on his wife. Afterwards he regrets what he has done as by doing so he risked loosing everything he realizes he loves, his wife and daughter(whom I am guessing Gracie is unless it's a pet) He has blown the trust the had between them and wonders if that trust could ever be repaired when there is no longer any guarantee he could be faithful since he broke that bond. Once was enough to damage what he was blind to seeing he already had and now may never have again, though they are trying.. now he sits in sorrow as he thinks of all the moments he cherished with his family that he so carelessly through away, even if it was just for a moment....thinking how could he have been so blind not to see what he was risking, only now seeing....

His music reflects the course of humanity and in the 21st century...our new connection with embedded technology. The person has been stuffed into and made the machine. His music follows the path of humanity and our use of actions rather than that of thoughts, feelings and expression. The individual unique art of humanity and the vibration of the sounds it once followed have been silenced.

@[brospec:47790] I believe you are very close to the meaning but missing the mark just a bit. We are now in the age of technology. And bit by bit we use more and more and get sucked in further and furter.......until one day we are finally made one with it..
We are now the instrument we took a liking too. . Mo longer a need for the limbs,(sawed off edges) full of holes checking pulse (the connections between body and machine) and( checking for an electric current)and stuffed inside the machines shell . There is no need to hear as everything is being processed directly to it.(so you no longer speak as before and only regurgitate information you no longer comprehend. And only move your mouth when you are used as a type.of puppet. ( robot) or it is not saying I AM A LIE, The lines on my face for the benefit of other, (are the words that run across the face of the screen that others read. I believe the intent of the line was I AM Al. And our life light has gone out.or our soul is lost (what did I do wrong).
What we possibly did that was wrong was to believe in object or machines more so than in the individual people. And became that which we faithfully followed, the machine. |

At least as to my view on the story loop, it fits in quite nicely. (Pun intended) as you bang your head against the wall. ???? in my scenario it is almost comical of a theory. When I thought of it I literally started laughing at all the references. All over, everywhere, every day. Its kind of a wild ride in a way. Ohhhh, ???????????? too funny.! Think about it..with your other brain.???? |
