| Shit. I just wrote a long winded but imho brilliant piece but accidentally deleted it when I meant to post it. Fuck. Not going through that again. Already been to college. Lol. Sum it up as The Clash, the only band that matters. | |

@[simonon3:36897] I turned on to the Clash in 1980 when I was as 13. Saw them live first time in 1982 at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA. English Beat opening act. To this day one of my all time favorite shows. They fucking rocked from start to finish. All pure adrenalized white light energy. I'm 53, and love them more than ever. And miss them more than ever. Just as historic a rock band as The Beatles or The Stones to me. They changed the musical landscape. |

@[ThE_VANDAL:36896] Tymon Dogg, longtime friend of Joe Strummer of The Clash, also fiddle player on this song. And it's about heroin addiction. I knew that when I first heard it at 13 yrs old, before I was even smoking marijuana regularly. Now at 53 yrs old and having struggled with a heroin addiction off and on for the better part of the last 25 yrs or so, it's even more obvious to me. Lose this skin= heroin addicts struggling. Easy enough. |
