I would question the idea, whether you are advocating, or attributing, fault directed at news curators, for foisting perceived "negative" news upon us. "If it bleeds, it leads," is market-driven. We consumers are drawn to negative news, like a moth to flame. Actually, the opposite. I would argue our animal nature, having brought every one of us safely here, now, since the Big Bang, is wired to prioritize awareness of potential threats to survival. Wired to weight our scale towards the "negative"; so as to prepare for, or mitigate, threat. |
