this is a great 3eb tune, another one from this album motorcycle drive-by .. and then Ursa Major was great -- this song is prolly Transcendent for some ppl 4 sure, I'm sure there may be a post on here from an insider who knows exactly what Stephan wrote this of -- but I do take it to be that maybe actually his significant other was both victim and perp. - it's prolly real powerful for some chicks looking back too. this feeling that whoever was over your intoxication up on high had ordained it, coping with it all.. anyway it's a great tune of theirs and the Lyrics are \m/ in this one amongst many others. |

| Boston – A Man I'll Never Be Lyrics | 2 years ago |

well, i was born in '88 however i know this is prolly my fav boston song. Delp is amazing on the vocals and truly shows a huge amount of his 'mid-tenor' range as I like to call it. i LOVE covering this one on guitar, there's some tab/chordchart out there that does a great job converting that piano line into a guitar cover of it... i think alot of the more introverted musicians can relate to this one.. almost a love at first site/girl-that-got-ya-into-serious-Songwriting situation , knowing even if you had a romance she deserved someone that would strive in a more secure way to better her and take care of her... love the guitar production/studio rec. on this one.. C g/b am c/g , d/f# g g/f c/g , (x2) fmaj7 g4/3 , c g/b am c/g , f ( c/e quick) Dm G .. am g/b fmaj7 c - g/b (x ?) , etc beautiful boston ballad |

| Chris Cornell – Murderer of Blue Skies Lyrics | 2 years ago |

lyrics seem good i think first line refrain 'murderer' not murder but ya MAY actually be right there idk -- great vocals here by chris cornell think it's a ballad for a woman and his tenor vocals really are pwnage here, esp even as he got a bit later on in years.. what a legendary grunge singer songwriter... anyways i really think it's about confiding and Knowing his woman to a brilliant point and then the fall from grace in the relationship (whoever may be to blame, Chris' heart was always there..) and the way that he was placed in a role of deception rather than liberation .. even in the song you can see he knows the other's position but this is surely a rock poet's ballad for the ages.. love the lead electric in the bg and the overall song map rest, ip |

| The Arc Angels – Living in a Dream Lyrics | 3 years ago |

almost my entire life i've been a diehard eric clapton fan, and had the pleasure of seeing him live on two occasions, one of those times doyle bramhall ii was playing live with him.. was a very memorable show. one of my fav 'solo' songs of his post- ARC ANGELS is 'Harmony' .. great and underrated ballad type song.. arc angels had a handful of really cool songs, their rhythm section coupled with the two guitars and vox/backing vox combos is really sweet!! this song kinda takes the cake for me but i like listening to 'see what tomorrow brings' and 'Good Time' as well! as for meaning on this tune it seems like a love song, for sure.. probably a sort of communal manifestation, most notably b/w sexton and bramhall.. i love the guitar fillers and the official music video for it. great-blues-rock-meets-pseudo-hairmetal Vibe to it !! \m/ |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Black Summer Lyrics | 3 years ago |

pretty sure he's saying 'Groo' not roo in the lyrics there.. also pretty sure it's 'my Cradle weighs a ton' even tho he is pronouncing the 'd' in Cradle a lil sharp... - Groo was a sort of obscure comic book series however in description of the main character Groo "Groo is a large-nosed buffoon of unsurpassed stupidity who constantly misunderstands his surroundings. Possessed of superlative skills in swordsmanship (the only task at which he is remotely competent), he delights in combat but otherwise is a peaceable and honest fellow..." which would lend creed to the physical characteristics and partly the lifestyle/habits of the duckbill Platypus.. just some insight, may or may not be correct. also 'Cradle' would further add to the whole astrology / zodiac thing they got goin' on in that verse and one or two other parts of the tune... \m/ -- abba bdon widdit |

| Velvet Revolver – Fall To Pieces Lyrics | 4 years ago |
|
i mean.. if you go by the official music video.. its about the comedown from heroine etc.. i have no first-hand with this but my sister did for many years.. sayin if hes all alone in that come down he falls to pieces instead of just the comedown/falldown very unfortunate that we lose alot of the rock and grunge greats at early ages.. many have had lots of great artistic works thru out decades tho.. their drummer was good this song shows his feel in relatively simple double-time style beats in the verse n refrains a good hit by velvet revolver, typical repeating refrain outro but great work by slash and scott to capture a good style of a hit single from a collab. album n band |

great song by radiohead they've had many great ones over the years... always thought it was ''the gravity of this man..'' instead of gravity always wins.. altho both would work just as well given the lyrical scenario. as a musician and songwriter of 20 years (33 y.o. now) i think this song is about the need to replace real things with the fake, even at the expense of replacing fake things to help those real things with just the fake things alone... sad but true... the times they are a'changin' |

| Symphony X – Paradise Lost Lyrics | 4 years ago |
|
unbelievable song, great, great band... an investment in gnosticism manuscripts and texts would be very wise to one understanding the ways of paradise lost... something like the apocryphon of john, apocalypse of adam, or on the origin of the world... their drummer is always able to find ways of filling up space subtly on the high hate and ride during refrains.. magical time signature work as always.. ill help those a bit who are looking for a good read- here I stand, a stranger in this land does your conscience betray you? falling from grace, feel the sun on my face does desire still hold true?" "Then came the one who is wiser than all creatures, who was called the beast. When he saw the likeness of their mother, Eve, he said to her, “What is it that god said to you? ‘Don’t eat from the tree of knowledge’?” She said, “He said not only ‘Don’t eat from it’ but also ‘Don’t touch it, lest you die.’” He said to her, “Don’t be afraid! You certainly shall not die. For he knows that when you eat from it your mind will be sobered and you will become like gods, knowing the difference between evil and good people. For he said this to you because he is jealous, so that you would not eat from it.” Now, Eve believed the words of the instructor. She looked at the tree and saw that it was beautiful and appealing, and she desired it. She took some of its fruit and ate, and she gave to her husband also, and he ate too. Then their minds opened. For when they ate, the light of knowledge shone for them. When they put on shame, they knew that they were naked with regard to knowledge. When they sobered up, they saw that they were naked, and they became enamored of one another. When they saw that their makers had beastly forms, they loathed them. They understood a great deal." |

| Days of the New – Die Born Lyrics | 4 years ago |

really cool song.. was really amazing what travis was able to do with vocal projection and the power of his acoustic and mods... i dunno what version ur listening to with these lyrics but the post chorus verse i always hear 'the sand is high as it burns my fears, and i'm a little tired...' but it could be sand is hot as it burns my heels, etc... not hearing any beach... i always think of not wanting to lose everything, just for the sake that you were born into this world.. of the ways of men, of our people... powerful vocals on this one. |
