this song is has the perfect mix of joy and feeling lost. it seems like they are telling us about their problems, venting to the listener. clearly you can see they may suffer from social anxiety. saying "hangin' out where I don't belong is nothing new to me" also looks like they're having trouble with their self worth saying "nothing i do is ever good". |
