kinda writing for practice and because revisiting it has been- interesting (can anyone confirm if he says air? lol i always thought it was hate- but ima go with air) 3 different ones face value: "manchurian candidate" an mk ultra victim but i don't really care to- get into that so 2 parts: positive/negative interpretations Positive(though it may not sound like it-) its a warning I picture someone who's half delusional and half correct having essentially 2 personalities that converge into a perpetual state of confusion- thus the "truth" in real-time, so to speak, reality becomes irrelevant as he's fulfilling the role. He screams at the end and it waits for you- as be believes it to be perhaps his final echo through time. but hes had many, many final echoes- and nothing happened my favorite example of the personalities screaming at each other "you haven't learned a thing" "I havent changed a thing!" lol this- for whatever reason makes me laugh reflect and try to pretend certain things are not true- even if they are- to varying degrees. so i- or he- do not get lost forever in the abyss its maybe better to focus on the positive- even if delusional or a very real menace is screaming inside your mind. tell it to fug off- and carry on. negative: from the menace personalities perspective this song is downright terrifying. but still kinda neat. "i wander out where you cant see" a "smiley glad hand with hidden agenda's" (a tool lyric) is spying on their victim- toying them- leading them astray to- if ever- later admit but claim only the strayed can be lead that way" (this is an extreme grey area, depending on who you ask, i find the "devil" to be slightly worse in the most extreme cases- of say- being attacked enough to think assassinating a president with great hair is a good idea- its a 50/50) "and it waits for you" "it screams" as it fades into an interchangeable ocean of miserable and irrelevant "its" idk just some word vomit |

I have found one interview with Matt where he actually says anything about his music. He said he writes in a perpetual rage. Except when he sings . Those are his moments of clarity. Ie. The drugs are late Lost my money again (Still his thoughts but sinister scolding not unlike hating your self for waking up with no drugs (they never *gave* you anything!) This structure is in every song but here and machination it's imo opinion absolute brilliance.... But first. Forget all that shit.
