(I'd like to leave this in my youth) Subject person wanting to leave something behind in life, or maybe life itself when said person is young. (pick me up on your way) Not sure, but this used to be a common way to ask for a ride I think. Who is traveling idk but the subject doesnt have the means to do it themselves, apparently. (send away virus) Maybe Pete is talking now, saying "go away virus" "blow away" (Drink, sight is water) Pete is probably continuing to say "look at the world" "see the world" "experience is vital (like water)" most people have their sense of sight, which is taken for granted, and perhaps unappreciated or underused. (watch him sell mugs to bikers, to make a million dollars) Not sure, but if you look at travel mugs in 1998 -the date Peer was released, they were a bit awkward like the start of most things, even though travel mugs started in 1980 i think. Not sure a biker would be interested in one from this salesman, especially with the promotions of an initial free drink upon purchase of an establishment's mug/cup. Yet there is a scheme to do accomplish wealth by these means. I have to both admire and pity this subject. (Place your stamp here, send out love letters) Reading a bit on the history of the postage stamp I still cant be sure why someone is being told to place their stamp, and on (a) love letter(s) as well. "Lickable", or moisture-activated postage stamps came about roughly in 1850. Love letter writing isn't so hard to imagine at this time, nor is it hard to imagine someone having to be instructed on how to send one at the post office since it was new. (The skin atop his hands, has dried to red) There are many reasons why a man's hands would turn red, ruling out the palms, and that the subject is not female, it could be stress, chemical exposure, an exposure of a certain duration and/or degree of cold, even smoking or repetitive movement (maybe even the vibrating of motorcycle handles). (The words, want 'em touch 'em) Not sure if this is an observation of poor English used by the subject, or the subject himself is still being shown toiling to make his living, using basic sales pitches such as "look at the words on these cups" "Want 'em?" "They're strong, touch 'em" (The nerve, why are you here) This maybe belongs with the verse prior as it was the last one sang in the soothing melodic tone. In another song by Chevelle, Loeffler sings "You should ask for more... You child ... You martyr ... Leave!" Maybe this is food for thought for some. Don't go scraping your way off the grid, or get in that position. Humans need one another to an extent, and this being known; deserve some degree of dignity, as they dignify others; to live a miserable existence is virtually unnecessary. (Back off peer I am on top of this back off I need to make decisions And I want to leave yea back off Banned[?]) Perhaps things are out of order. Perhaps it's right where it belongs. The subject apparently wants to continue in their fruitless endeavor as a lone wolf, which probably was a metaphor the whole time. |
