This song could go two separate ways. It could be about mental illness or it could be a love song. I will talk about both here. \n\nFirst: Mental illness.\n\n[Pardon me, summer scene\nYou found me and finders keep \nYou\'re why I\'m sitting here making up songs in my room\nAd-libbing around like bum bum bum bum\nYou\'re why I keep my Texas sleep hours on tour\nInstead of sleeping around like bum bum]\n\nMental illness has came to be in existence, in the lyrics it states: "You found me and finders keep" which means unless the person deals with the said illness, it\'s not like a cold where it will leave on it\'s own. \n\n[Mind your head, I\'ve lost my mind\nFrom thinking about, thinking about you all the time\nMind, your head, has lost its sight\nFrom thinking about, thinking about you all the time\nThe la-la-la-lobotomy\nHas taken all of, all of me\nThe la-la-la-lobotomy\nTook all but you\nSo let me go, let me go down]\n\nYes, the phrase "Mind your head" literally means "Be aware of your head"\nand the phrase "I\'ve lost my mind" is self-explanatory. But it could be seen as the fact that the illness has taken a toll on their functionality. "From thinking bout, thinking bout you all the time" is kinda where it sounds like a romantic song. The la-la-la-lobotomy Has taken all of, all of me The la-la-la-lobotomy Took all but you" A failed attempt to get rid of the illness was taken. Maybe through medication or therapy. Awsten wrote this song for someone in like 20 minutes and really only sung it a few times before it became a waterparks song. It was never edited or fixed to keep it authentic as possible. |

@[Midnight_Cowboy:38498] people hated this album for a while because fans said it was too different. Nowadays, 12 years away from this comment, this album became a favorite to many fans. I guess you could say this album is ahead of its time. |
