I believe this song is about AA and Recovery and the weak mindset and mentality/ideology. an often heard saying that is near a cliche and spoken in near every meeting is "My addiction is outside in the parking lot doing pushups" Nobody in recovery has ever accomplished anything only recovery accomplishes things. they say "One drop" will kill you because you wont be able to stop and say if you don't goto meetings daily or at-least regularly you will relapse and they beat this into your head and when you do relapse it happens exactly like they programmed it in you to happen. "Their cure is worse than the disease" DENOUNCE "What i walk away from is not my master" I was forced into recovery and rehab by courts and it literally was a fight for my life as if id have succumbed id have likely committed suicide from my untreated multi-morbid dual diagnosis of assortment of substance abuse and mental disorders/trauma.. i was a moderate and flipped a car huffing duster because of recovery. I had to re conquer already conquered addiction and conquer the garbage they beat into my head in rehab/recovery. fuck em it made me even stronger and more certain. there are alternatives to AA for anyone reading this and some have the mentality of strength and willpower and even responsible moderation for those who cant live sober. idk how anyone can in this world tbh. |
