Just listening to this song I got the idea that the meaning in this song is more generic - hidden beneath the obvious "school shootings" and the like topic. To me it's about generic issue when someone sees the problem in society, and instead of trying to change the world for the better, they leave it to someone else to fix. As in "I know there is a problem with my kid, but I will just hide not to be around when he fucks up". The last verse strenghthens this notion by raising a question of a weakling "where is our savior" when the solution is as simple as - go and do your duties, hard work, make world better by starting from yourself. After all love is nothing more that another hard work. |
