I truly enjoy to see how people interpret songs so when I see a song that has 0 comments I get frustrated so here I will start writing my own interpretations to the songs I listen to maybe someone will find it useful or encourage someone to write their own interpretation cause I love to read them all. "Something hides in every night Brings desire from the deep And with it comes a burning light To keep us from our sleep" -I think here he has some sort of weight on his shoulder or some regret or it could be a part of himself that he hides so well( a dark side to him that he wants to change so bad but it's so hard ) and some days it hits him and keeps him awake at night. "And as the full star tries his best to make the white pearl shine Glances of a new day have arrived And though he’s not alone, he fears to never love another And leave his heart forever with her smile" -Here he is saying that this dark side of him or his regret , no matter how much he tries to change or do something about it, the new days comes and life gets busy and gives him hope and convinces him to leave the past in the past and that no matter how much the stars try to make the white pearl shine , next day is coming so it will never reach it's shiniest. He now has people around him and new life which makes his regret easier to forget and his life now keeps him away from changing and becoming the person he promised to be.. maybe it's the reason he left a person behind? to start a new life and change himself but as he has made a new life he had forgotten why he wanted to change from the first place so this side of him keeps coming up to him to remind him. "Habibi, light is burning As I am burning Habibi, light is burning As I am yearning" - Here I'm not sure but maybe he is remembering the old person he used to be and he feels it's hopeless he will never change but he really wants to. He wants to make it right yet he does nothing about it. "Something died within a soul Left the eyes to rust And every time it is recalled It covers all in dust" -He can't feel anymore , he longs to feel those emotions but he is incapable anymore. Reason he does nothing anymore because he is dead inside and whenever it comes up to him again he just doesn't want to deal with it or maybe there is a part of him that still wants to change but his soul is tired so even if he wanted , he can''t anymore because he is rusted. honestly , i'm not sure at all, if someone can tell me how they see this song would be great. cause I have no idea... I'm just writing this but I feel like there is another meaning that I can't see and it's probably simple. |
