Stevie Nicks – Edge of Seventeen Lyrics 4 years ago
Before I learned what she'd actually written this song about, I'd sincerely had no clue what the song was about. I'd never been taken with looking up the lyrics until google really became a thing back about 10 years ago. Once I'd read the lyrics, I cannot deny that I ended up thinking what alot of ppl did/do: a story about a cougar hankerin after a 17 yr old manboy. Knowing how divergent the actual meaning is from this interpretation, I can't help but wonder if Stevie read this double-entendre into the lyrics deliberately or not. Music history mystery.

The Cars – Drive Lyrics 4 years ago
Personally, when I hear this song I think of my 15 yr old daughter with ADHD. The falling, the screaming, the shaking, the breaking, the hanging up...it's all there.

The Police – King Of Pain Lyrics 4 years ago
Big reach here, and I know it's nowhere near relevant to the song's background...but I can imagine this song might illustrate how King Edward felt near the end of his life.

Can't speak for others...but for me it's definitely a song to my so-called mother.

I the lord references the devil. Once you understand the lyrics in that context they're not hard to figure out.
