| Deadboy and the Elephantmen – Like the Dead Would Laugh Lyrics | 3 years ago |

The parts where he's not singing, "we laugh like the dead would laugh" makes me think of Phantom of The Opera, specifically when he mentions the Masque of the Red Death, and silent movies... as there was a Phantom of The Opera movie that was silent. Wonder if it has anything to do with that? |

| Rory Gallagher – Crest of a Wave Lyrics | 5 years ago |

I wouldn't be surprised if this was about fame. The crest of a wave would probably symbolize one's rise to fame, but despite looking happy, he might have not been wholly happy with having no sense of privacy. For instance, Rory had to have private shopping sessions at Crowley's music shop because oftentimes his fans would bombard him. Being a page from a book that can't be read at all could also mean that he was viewed as an absolute hero who was invincible to all negativity, when he was in fact a human who faced the complexities of life that we all do. But that's my 2 cents on this, but I could be wrong on some things. |
