What this song is about is the psychological and silent yet powerful battle between two people who love each other but can’t find a way to forgive each other.
The two constantly strike blows to the other, attempts to show they are no longer interested and they try to make the other jealous. To see how much they truly love each other, they measure it by seeing how much it hurts the other person when they show they are fine without them/when they try to make them jealous.
