Roger Waters – Déjà Vu Lyrics 5 years ago
A joke is an excellent way to start a song like this. Roger writes "If I had been god, I think I could have done a better job." Warfare, famine, hunger, power-hungry world leaders, a lack of empathy are all factors that led Roger to write this song. If god does exist, is he taking a nap?

The song also points out that those using drone strikes are killing innocent people who are just trying to survive in this crazy-ass world. Most importantly (to me) is the line that states, "You lean to the left, but walk to the right."

Don't do that this time around, the world does not need power hungry leaders who are incredibly self-absorbed.

Roger Waters – Amused To Death Lyrics 5 years ago
Roger explains to us that going forward the more we embrace technology on a daily basis, the less we interact face -to-face. This allows for the lack of empathy that we see in this world and its leaders. When we are all gone and the alien anthropologists attempt to reason as to why we are all gone - it was the technology that led us to that sad demise. So, the song in my humble opinion is urging us all to become much nicer to one another and to engage daily with one another without technology.
