I gave her my heart but she wanted my soul. “ I believe even though the song is about Dylan leaving her behind, he is saying that he did dearly love her & gave her everything he could. ""I gave her my heart."" but that wasn’t enough for her. She wanted more than he could give. ""she wanted my soul"" |
