| Bush – Flowers On A Grave Lyrics | 5 years ago |

I really think this song is written thinking of his ex wife Gwen who left him, at any case it is about loosing a loved one. "You covered me in emptiness like flowers on a grave" I feel like these lyrics mean he still sees beauty in her although she now hurts him by her absence. Also "I feel you in me Although you're gone completely" Makes me think he has no contact at all anymore with her but thinks of her. There is also a huge theme of death and suicide in the song. Loosing love is like a death and its very hard. Loosing love is always a huge tragedy especially when it could have been avoided although sometimes it is for the better. We all know the torture loosing love can be. If that is indeed what the song is about i hope gavin will find again the peace and kingdom he sings about. It is indeed a beautiful song and the proof there is still so much beauty gavin can make and be despite this loss he sings about. I really relate, loosing love is the worst suffering, and im sure like he says it takes a lot of bravery to sing about it and get through it |
