To me this song demonstrates the fact in general that the memories of those whove been hurt multiples times that its drained of you the ability to trust or love which leads to the vampire of our lives. As we reflect and morph into a person that has the inability to care or maybe pretend we care but not care fully. Its where we feel accomplished of not breaking into complete depression where we want to be suicidal and celebrate not falling over the errors of our own mistakes or the mistakes others have had towards us. Live is just going to try and break us over and over again as we understand so we wonder if not trusting or caring completely will allow us to get through this hence the questioning of if we're doing things right. This song to me stands out to the fellow people that in the past allowed the world to break them or have broken others to a point that those memories drain you from yourself and your identity. You still feel yourself trying and yet you still cant trust and succimb to your own drainage of yourself with this vampire |

I honestly feel like here morrissey sings of being drunk one moment and then reflcting on his life afterwards in which he discovers that who he is in love with( who he more than likely would do anything for) does not treat him the same or reciprocate that appreciation. In the line "two lovers entwined passed me by and heaven knows im miserable now" maybe he speaks of observing over couples and how they behave as if they are each others like that heartfelt moment where you see an old woman and man together after years of marriage still flirting then you stop and realize you want that. Also where he says "What she asked of me at the end of the day
Caligula would have blushed" he could be speaking of himself as Caligula in which he feels like he has done horrible things like caligula had betrayed his own men. Moreover he stays with that relationship or got into it maybe because this person had made it seem as they will accept and cherish even the bad sides if shown and they are asking for the real morrisey only to not hold up to their promise. And with him finding a job maybe he was just looking for some importance in this world and he is significant as an artist and poet but maybe he wanted to be significant differently. This song brings me to tears sometimes because honestly, there are people out there who claim to support you and know you or awknowledge you importance in the world only for them to see you another way the moment you share or show a little bit of the caligula in u or just the side of you that hurts others when angry and then they can get disgusted and end up using you until they kick you out of the house of that bond |

@[zengirl41:33977] I happen to be an all over music person meaning I explore EVERY single type of music and both courtney love and Marilyn Manson arent just 'screaming their guts out' if you paid attention their famous because their lyrics have a different meaning. They sing about how people can misjudge others, or how we take advantage of things for our own selfish desires, sometimes theyll sing something on a bas experience that happened to them. Like courtney sings a specific song called doll parts which i preferably like because shes singing how its hard to be a woman and being judged only on apearence and not on your ideals or morals so its hard. And when he says run to your mansions I think he actually means that by heart we all should consider our homes to be mansions since home is where the heart is and out hearts are big so Thank u for your time and no im not a goth girl I actually look like a typical pink cardigan nerd girl on tv. |
